When it comes to the gender of the unborn baby, grandma’s theories and recipes abound. Depending on the shape of the mother’s belly, her diet, and the month of conception, we could know if we are expecting a girl or a boy. Several methods are often quoted when it comes to baby gender predictor. Info or intoxication? It’s up to you to tell us! In any case, here are the details of these methods:
1. Girl or boy? Look at the spikes on the top of your first baby’s head!
Here are some tips to apply:
- If the first child has a line or comma-shaped ear on the head: your next child would be a boy
- If the first child has a circle-shaped ear of corn: your next baby would be a girl
- And it gets worse: If your child has two ears of corn… Can you see it coming? It will be twins!
2 . Implantation on the neck of the first child
The second method of the grandmother to predict the sex of a baby is to look at the hair implantation at the nape of the neck. If the hair grows in a “crossing” pattern, forming a sort of tail, the next child will be a boy. If the implantation is more horizontal and goes down well along the nape of the neck: it will be a girl.
3. Lying position
We already know how difficult it is for many women to sleep during pregnancy because the more their belly grows, the more difficult it is to find a possible comfortable position. It is said that if you sleep on the left side, you will have a boy, and if you sleep on the right side, you will have a girl. But is this true?
4. Handstand
Ask someone to give you something and try to take it yourself: how is the palm of your hand at that moment: up or down? If it’s up, it’s a girl; down, it’s a boy. It has to happen unconsciously, without realizing it, so you don’t get conditioned!
5. Sweet or salty?
Because of nausea and vomiting, a woman’s taste can change during pregnancy. If during this time your body craves chocolate and sweets, you’ll have a girl! And if you only eat salty things? It will be a boy! Don’t forget, though, to take care of yourself during pregnancy. You need to eat a healthy, balanced diet for your well-being and that of your baby.
